Same-Day Crowns in
Homebush West

Rather than wait as long as 2 weeks for your new crown, you can walk into a dentist’s office and walk out with your new CEREC crown the same day.

Our dentists will use computer-aided design (CAD) to capture digital images of your tooth and jaw, design a crown, and then create that crown for installation — all right there in the clinic!

With a same-day procedure, you can skip the temporary crown step and you might even be able to head back to work while you’re waiting, depending on your specific situation.

What can you expect on your Dental Crown Journey with Henley Dental?

Your First appointment

At your first appointment your Homebush Dentist will assess your suitability for Dental Crowns. After taking a look at your teeth, we will take some x-rays, scans and photos of your smile, which will be used to create accurate 3D digital images using our innovative software. We will then talk through the treatment plan, answering any questions and showing you a preview of how your smile will look after treatment

Your Individualised Treatment Plan

With all of this information we will create a unique treatment plan based on your individual smile and lifestyle. It may be the case that treatment is needed to address any oral health issues before placing the Dental Crowns.

Treatment Procedure

Using the digital scan from the photos, the dentist creates the crown right there in the office. You may have to wait about 1 to 2 hours until the crown is made.

Once the crown is ready, your dentist cements it into place. The entire process takes about 2 to 4 hours total.

  • How much do Dental Crowns cost?
Dental Crowns can range in price depending on the material used in the crown and the size of the tooth. Crowns can be made from porcelain, ceramic, and metal, but porcelain crowns are the most popular because they look more natural since they can be colour-matched to your existing teeth. To find out more about our pricing, feel free to contact us to discuss our payment options.
  • How long do Dental Crowns last?
The lifespan of a crown can vary between 5 and 15 years. Some crowns are sturdier than others, and may last 25 - 30 years. Just like natural teeth, you need to maintain Dental Crowns properly with regular 6-monthly check-up appointments, and brushing and flossing at home.
  • Is the Dental Crown procedure painful?
As with most types of dental work, many patients express concern about possible pain and discomfort involved with the procedure. However, the crown process is incredibly common and is typically very easy for both the dentist and the patient, resulting in minimal discomfort throughout the entire process.
  • How long does it take to see results?
Using our CEREC machine we can create same Day Dental Crowns so in just one consultation you can see results. However, treatment times vary from patient to patient, some people see results after 2-3 visits if other dental work is required.
  • Can I use my Health Fund for Dental Crowns with Henley Dental?
In some cases, the answer is yes. If you're insured, there is a good chance your health insurance policy covers your Dental Crown treatment. Most private health insurance funds cover dental care as part of their General treatment, Extras, or Ancillary section. If you have any price-related questions, feel free to contact us on: (02) 9763 7889 discuss our payment options.
